Are You Bending Over Backwards to Get Things Done?
Is This You?
Trying To Please Every One By Bending Over Backwards
If you are bending over backwards to juggle work, home, and family, then stop the madness! I too struggled for years with this very thing until I had finally had enough and decided to find a way out.
For me, the breakaway came in stages. At first I worked for a temp agency during the year while the children were in school, and I could take the entire summer off that way to be with them. I would take a small percentage out of every check I made during the year as a temp and save it for the summer months. It worked out great.
But still, I wanted more! More freedom to be the kind of mom and wife I wanted to be. I knew I had to cut the family expenses in order to get this freedom, but I didn’t really want to downsize our lifestyles that much. Hmmm…..a delima!
Through the years I have learned to shop wholesale, save hundreds on groceries, and decorate on a dime. It has been a real fun experience and a game I really love playing. Getting a bargain on something gives me a great high on life!
There are many things you can do to save money. My husband and I only eat out about 5 times a year. Some people grab fast food or eat out several times a week. This takes a lot of money! In the beginning I know cooking from scratch will be hard because you are still working, however once you get all your budget under control and you are home, then these things become a labor of love for your family!
An average family of four could save approximately $700.00 per month just on the following items:
$100.00 on fuel if not driving back and forth to work each month
$100.00 on groceries (usually more) by cooking from home
$450.00 on daycare or after school care for children
$50.00 on children and family clothing by shopping at thrift stores (they have new items never worn also)
These are just a few of the ways you can save money by staying at home. And don’t forget you can also work part time from home. So just get your thinking cap on and say goodbye to the madness!
Be sure and visit this blog often as you will find techniques and tips to help you accomplish this goal.
