Make Your Own Baby Food

And Save Money

Making your own baby food will save you money and will be much healthier for your baby.  Some baby foods in the stores have fillers in them and preservatives which home made baby food will not have.

When my grandson was a baby the daycare that he stayed at made all his baby food fresh for him.  He thrived on it and grandma  learned a few new tricks.  One of the things I learned was that making meat baby food is not any harder than making fruit and vegetable baby food.

A quick recipe for beef for your baby is to take frozen steak fingers and take all the breading off.  Cut the meat in small pieces and put in a blender along with the baby’s formula or a little milk.  Keep adding enough milk until the beef is as smooth as you need.  Of course a roast you cooked yourself would be better to use, but this is just an example for when the baby needs food and you don’t have anything cooked.  You can do this same thing with chicken nuggets.

There are so many ideas for baby food going around now that during this time when I was updating my research on the subject I came across a website that is fantastic. This site has recipes, charts of when baby should be going from one food step to another and much more. Click Here To Check It Out.

Making your own baby food doesn’t take as much time as you would think and what many people don’t know is that you can cook once and freeze into small baby sized portions and the food will be good for baby up to six months in the freezer.

Give this a try and let me know how our baby likes his or her new food!

I agree! It is so easy to make baby food and really is an economical way to feed your child the highest quality food. Nothing beats a ripe pear peak season — and jarred pears just do not compare to fresh.
