Helpful Kitchen and Home Ideas

From time to time I like to share some helpful kitchen and home ideas.  Saving time and money leaves more time for family so try these out.

Coffee filters make great hot dog holders and napkins for children

Chop onions, bell peppers, etc and freeze them in ice cube trays.  Once frozen take them out and put into freezer bags.  You can take one out when needed for cooking.

Insulate your windows with bubble wrap during the winter months to help insulate and bring down heating bills.

Remove one to two old items from your frig every night when cleaning up after dinner and your frig will stay clean except for washing it out with soap and water.

Short of Cash?  Need your hair dyed?  Pour strong tea or coffee over hair several times then rinse out.  I’ve done this and it looked pretty good.  A great fill in until payday.
