All of you regular friends of Upper Hand Depot know that I try very hard to bring you money and time saving hints every week.  That goal has not changed, but I think it would be exciting to bring some fresh prospective into the mix, by using a guest post writer.   Starting August 1,2011, I am holding a contest for the best money saving or time saving articles.  This contest will run through August 15, 2011, and the first place entry will receive a $20 gift card to Walmart, plus their article and byline will be featured on Upper Hand Depot.  If we use any of the post, winners or not, on Upper Hand Depot, a link will be given back to your website if you have one.

Second and third place winners will get $5, plus the article will be published with their byline also.  If you are a guest post writer who does not rank in the first, second, or third position, your article could still possibly be posted on the site, with your byline and a link to your website if you have one.

Rules For Guest Post Writer

• Article must be 500, or more, words in length
• Must have good grammar and spelling
• Must teach how to save money or time.
• Must NEVER be copied from someone else
• Must be received by Upper Hand Depot no later than August 15, 2011

My advise is to study this site and see what subjects have already been written on and try to come up with something completely different, or go deeper into a previous subject.  Try and make your article fun to read, and something that will really bring value to those who read it.  Hopefully this contests will bring about even more ways for all of us to save money and have more at the end of the month.

What Will Get A Guest Post Writer Banned From This Site

I want this contest to be fun, but there always seems to be some people that feel writing a guest post means you can legally spam everyone with sales copy.  This site is not about finding the next best bargain at the department store, or the next money making scheme.  A guest post writer that has a legitimate website, not an affiliate link, will get a link back to their site.  I do want to help promote others and their business, but in the proper way.  My thanks to every guest post writer in advance.
